" FREEDOM ROAD TRAVEL SECURE QUEENSLAND RUGBY UNION PARTNERSHIP

 Freedom Road Travel has gone from strength to strength in both the domestic and international markets and has kicked off 2019 securing a partnership with Queensland Rugby Union as their official member and fan travel service provider.

“We are thrilled to launch the Queensland Rugby travel booking platform that will be made accessible to members of the 240 Queensland clubs, with a contribution of every booking made going directly back to the local club,” said David Sumich – Freedom Road Travel’s COO.

QRU Head of Commercial Malcolm Watts said “This partnership has the ability to provide value to our members and a much-needed revenue stream to the clubs we represent. Our clubs rely heavily on volunteers to make them viable, we believe the travel portal will provide the Queensland clubs with a revenue injection simply through the natural travelling habits of its members.”

Freedom Road Travel will also be working in close partnership with a range of travel brands including family friendly hotels & resorts, airlines, luxury properties, cruise lines, tour companies and more, to provide exclusive leisure travel and game day deals to fans and members.

“It’s truly wonderful to be able to give back to the grassroots clubs, and this is something that friends, family, fans and members can all get behind and we are excited to be part of this,” said Mr Sumich.

Freedom Road Travel and Queensland Rugby Union will jointly launch the portal to members and fans in the first half of 2019."
