"QinetiQ Selects RobotEye Thermal System for Their CUAS Product Family
As the use of drones proliferates, their level of sophistication increases and prices fall, the potential for the malicious use of these new tools has occupied the minds of those charged with public safety and the protection of important infrastructure, in particular.
In response, QinetiQ a British multinational defence and security technology company with revenues exceeding AUD $1.2 billion, has been developing a family of counter unmanned aerial system (CUAS) products to address this threat.
I am pleased to report, that following discussions initiated at the DARPA counter drone workshop Ocular Robotics was invited to attend in Washington DC last year, QinetiQ have “Selected the RobotEye RELW60 Thermal product to be the main camera system for the QinetiQ CUAS product family”"
