BlueMount Capital (Queensland) appoints Chief
Operations Officer
The Queensland
office of capital markets group BlueMount Capital has appointed Ken Freer as
Chief Operations Officer.
Speaking with BlueMount Capital Managing Director, Dr Mark Rainbird, about this appointment, Mark said, “We are looking to strengthen our executive management as we look to grow the business and our market presence. Our business is looking to invest in synergistic activities that support its core offering around capital markets corporate advisory and financing while supporting our clients and investors”.
Having worked with BlueMount Capital on various projects over the past 9 years, Ken is now joining the team in a full-time capacity.

experience, skills and network to support our clients and investors and help
facilitate successful outcomes for them and their businesses.” Ken said when
talking about his expectations of the new role.
Ken has over 25 years’ experience in fast moving consumer goods with
senior roles in general management, sales and marketing across a range of
companies including Wellcome Australia, Reckitt & Colman, PepsiCo Foods
International (Frito-Lay) and Lion Co. as Managing Director of Castlemaine Perkins.
Ken also has extensive experience in the
field of sports administration, having been General Manager for the Lexmark
Indy 300, Director of Motorsport for IMG and the CEO for Queensland Rugby and
the Reds.
Ken is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and
holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Melbourne).
Mark added, “Ken has strong
entrepreneurial and corporate experience, and we expect he will bring a strong
people and culture focus to the business.”
